Wonderful Weekend

We had some very special guests in our house over the weekend. Amy, Tara and Xioaxio (pronounced Shousha) were here for a visit. We loved, loved, loved having them here. We packed a lot into a few days, but a great few days it was. Friday we headed to Maine. It was a first for everyone! We drove to Portland and had seafood. We also drove along the coast and even checked out a lighthouse. On our way back to Medford we stopped at the outlets in Kittery. The kids got to trick-or-treat and we got to shop...fun! Amy wanted to see Salem, MA so we drove through Salem on our way home as well. Saturday we headed into the city for the Clemson/Boston College game. Sunday was church, Harvard, naps, and Halloween festivities! Monday we did a grand tour of Boston and ended our day with Jon serving us at P.F. Chang's. We loved every minute of their visit! I must say, we did have some catching up on some sleep to do once they left! (There are lots of pictures in this post...just to warn you!)

Lobster
He was scared!
When he got over his fear, he enjoyed playing with the lobster.
She did too!

Our little boy LOVES to run!
The Maine coast is beautiful!

Trick-or-Treating at the outlets
On our way to the Clemson game...Emet wore his Halloween costume
(which came all the way from Clemson, thanks Amy!) to the game on Saturday.
It has honestly been hard to get this away from him. He now wants to sleep
with his helmet (or helmick as he calls it)! The boy loves his football
Gotta love this! He made lots of friends on the T ride to BC.
He was very entertaining and talkative. The Clemson fans loved it!
I love this picture! It was cold, but fun to be there!
We walked through China Town.
Climbing the lion
After dinner in Quincy Market, Amy
treated the kids to a ride on the carousel!

Jon's scary mask...Emet wouldn't even come close.
He got left out of the picture!
Ava's sweet friend Melissa...we love her!
Our friends
Trick-or-Treating
Getting the candy!
We tried to set up a table for people to get hot chocolate and cider in our front yard. We
quickly realized that our street doesn't get many kids for trick-or-treating. So the cider
and hot chocolate went for a walk! Jeremy was a water cooler and Jon, Tara and
Abbey served people out with their kids hot drinks right off of Jeremy's back!
People loved it! They said Jeremy had the best costume they had ever seen!
BOSTON
Tara and Xioaxio took a duck boat tour. This is a view from the water.
The kids wanted a dinosaur picture.
USS Constitution
Cannoli in the North End
We love the sweets in the North End!
Tara enjoyed some tiramasu!

Love my boys!
We fed the birds and the ducks. They were surprisingly friendly.
They also came really close...Emet did not like that at all!
Maybe one day I will cross this line...Boston Marathon finish line!
We had a great dinner at P.F. Chang's and the best server ever!
