Tye Dye

Jon was out of town Friday night speaking at a youth retreat for a friend's youth group, so three of my high school girls from church came over for a "girls' night!" They planned the schedule for the evening...our Friday night (and Saturday) consisted of lots of snacks, Tye Dying t-shirts, High School Musical Marathon (we watched them all...and the second one twice), a trip to the mall, a Wal Mart run and a repeat of tye dying...we had so much fun on Friday we decided to do it again Saturday night! I love these girls and had a blast hanging out with them. Ava was right in the mix...up too late, but had a blast with these lovely ladies!

Part 2...Brittney, Ava and Chelsie
Brittney decided to tye dye the shirt she is wearing in this picture...it is no longer white, but a mix of dark brown, purple and black. Her "comfy" shirt as she calls it!
She loved it!!!
I love this picture!

Happy Birthday!!!

Some very special people in our lives just celebrated their birthdays. My mom, our nephew Carson, Jon's grandfather and our friend Isaac's birthdays were all last week. Happy birthday to these special people! Because of time and distant we don't always get to be with everyone we love on their birthday. Isaac, our friend, lives close enough though that we were able to celebrate his 3rd birthday with him. Friday night we went over for pizza and cake. The kids had a great time at his "Cars" birthday! We are thankful for his and Ava's friendship!

Happy Birthday Isaac!
(I love their expressions here!)

South Carolina

We headed to South Carolina on Sunday. We stopped at Allyson and Kevin's and hung out for a couple of hours. They treated us to a yummy dinner! The kids played and we enjoyed spending a little bit of time with our family. We'll be back at their house tomorrow night. After dinner and baths at the Elliott's on Sunday we drove to Tracey and Asheton's. What a blessing to have some time with one of my very best friends! Tracey is a wonderful friend and we haven't had nearly enough time together lately. It has been great to have time to catch up and hang out. We've been shopping, cooking, running and took the kids to the park today. We went to Marble Slab tonight to support a fundraiser their church was sponsoring. Asheton was one of the ice cream scoopers! Ava and Emet have loved playing with Bailey. She is a doll baby! We've been loving our time here in South Carolina!

Fun, Fun, Fun!!!

Our computer's hard drive is almost full and I've been behind on getting pictures loaded and blogging because our beloved computer has been taking so long to do anything. My sweet husband cleared some things off yesterday so I could work more easily. So, here is a recap of our fun, fun, fun week!
Isaac and Ava on the tractor when they came over to play on Wednesday!
Ava loves Cubbies at church. She goes on Wednesdays nights and is having a blast. She wears a lovely blue vest and this week was crazy hair night. (She reminded me as we were walking across the parking lot that she wanted her hair pink and green. I'd forgotten about crazy hair night, so we ran home and I threw her do together in five minutes...yes, I used pink and green crayola paint to make her hair pink and green!)
Monkey Joe's on Thursday
We met my cousin and her little girl at Monkey Joe's for a morning of fun. Ava had a blast and Emet was a little unsure of all the big inflatables. He spent most of his time sliding on the mats and falling on his face! Ava's favorite was the obstacle course. She did a great job!
Loving It!!!
Emet and Mommy
He was probably getting ready to slip on the mat and fall...which he seemed to enjoy!
Sweet Girls!
They had fun playing together and we hope to do it again soon!

Mom and Dad

We had Mom and Dad come stay with us last weekend. They were here Friday night before heading down to ECU and then came back and spent Sunday night with us as well. We went to Chic-Fil-A in our ASU gear on Monday for free sandwiches! It was great to get to visit with Mom and Dad!

Popcorn and a Movie...Ava enjoyed snuggling with Pops!

Mountaineer Mania

It is football season and we are so excited!!! Even though we have gotten off to a rough start with our Mountaineer football season, we still love ASU football! We went to the game last Saturday in Greenville and Ava went with us. Hot, hot, hot...it was a scorcher! We had a blast though pulling for our Mountaineers in the middle of all the ECU fans!

Mom and Dad came down and stayed with us. They went to the game too!
We didn't have tickets, so we used our little girl to help us land some!
So hot...but fun!!!
She was sooooooo tired!

Our Kids

Thursday evening I took some pictures of the kids on the railroad tracks. With the help of Jon, Marsha and Tanner I was able to get a few cute shots. I realized how difficult it is to photograph a 16 month old and a three year old. Here are a few of my favorites! Thanks Marsha for your photography advice and help...and for taking the picture of me and Jon!
