Chick-Fil-A Birthday!!!

We had a fun time celebrating the kids' birthdays at Chick-Fil-A yesterday. All the kids enjoyed playing on the playground and eating their chicken nuggets and ice cream! We are reminded that we are truly blessed to have our precious kids, Ava and Emet. We are thankful for another year with our sweet children. It was wonderful to have our friends with us to celebrate yesterday!

Fun With Friends

Leigh Ann, Davis and Walker made a special trip to Durham to spend the weekend with us! What a blessing to spend time with one of my best friends and to have our kids get to play together. We had a blast just hanging out. Saturday afternoon we went to the Spring Fling at Gorman...the kids loved the bouncy slides, the horses and the fire truck! Saturday evening Jon headed to Boone and it was just the girls and the kids. We celebrated Ava and Emet's birthdays with them. A cookie cake and presents...thanks to LA and the boys for Toy Story and High School Musical 2!!! Leigh Ann and I watched the Proposal after the kids went to bed...such a cute movie! We went to church on Sunday before they had to head back to Shelby. What a treat to have the whole weekend with a friend who means so much to me and her sweet boys! Love you LA!!!

Getting a great picture is hard, not to mention impossible, with 4 kids 3 and under...this is as good as it gets. I think its cute. Gotta love the wind-blown hair and kids off to the side!

Fun With Family

We had a great couple of days when Allyson and Kolson came into town. We always enjoy time with them and this trip was extra special. Nana treated us to Marbles Museum on Thursday...what a fun place! The kids loved it and it was fun for us to watch them! Thursday evening Allyson, the kids and I picked up a pizza and went to a park. We had time in the "pool" at Nana and Papa's and then Allyson and I had girl time and watched the movie Fame. Friday was a day of shopping...crazy with the kids, but still fun. We picked up a treat for the kids on our way home...fishing rods and took the kids fishing! Jon came over and we all enjoyed the hamburgers Papa grilled and all the fixin's Nana had prepared. A fun time with family for sure!

We stopped at Walmart and Allyson got Kolson a fishing rod. I picked up one for Ava and one for Emet too. We also got the live bait...
headed back and were ready to go!

Daniel and Wesley's Baseball Game

We have some great students at Gorman and have been blessed to get to know them and minister to them. Daniel and Wesley are on the baseball team at Durham School of the Arts. They played at South Granville Friday night. Some of our other students go to South Granville, so it was fun to go to the game! We hung out with Brittney and Chelsie and watched the guys play! Some other friends from church came out for the game too. My kids found "Shay Shay" (Sharon) who keeps the nursery at Gorman. Her grandson plays for South Granville. She entertained my kids the whole night. They played on the tennis courts and looked at the buses. They even came home with a foul ball! Such a fun night!

Jon's Birthday

This past Tuesday was Jon and Amy's 29th birthday. Jon left work a little early to go with us to gymnastics. He doesn't usually get to go and it was a treat for him to see Ava in action. After gymnastics we enjoyed celebrating with a dinner at Maggiano's at Southpoint. Nana and Papa went with us. We love Maggiano's and I think Jon really enjoyed his birthday dinner. We walked around Southpoint and then headed to Nana and Papa's for cake and presents! We gave Jon new Sanuks...the best sandals ever!
