Serve Medford

We had a team of 83 people, from 5 churches come and Serve Medford a week ago. What a HUGE blessing it was to have so many people to help us reach and serve our community. The teams did a variety of projects from cleaning up parks, to washing local store windows, to giving away granola bars at T stops. Some passed out door hangers to promote our Community Fun Night. On Friday night of the week they were here, we hosted a Community Fun Night at a local park. There was free food, games and give-aways. We had over 300 people from our community come and hang out that night. The week was amazing and we were so blessed!
It was great to get to spend some time with our friends from Ridgecrest in Durham. The kids had a blast hanging out with their youth. The Ridgecrest team worked in the parks, so we were able to spend a good bit of time with them. Their last day serving, they were in the park across from our house. They even kept our kids so we could enjoy a date one evening. What a blessing to have such sweet friends be here with us for a week!

Tom Buck worked hard replacing rotted wood on park benches all week. Cindy is here painting one of the benches in our park. They look great and are in much better condition now.
Ava clung close to Carly. It was sweet to see her connect with Carly and enjoy spending time with her. The Davis family even let Ava come and spendthe night with them at the hotel one night. She had a blast!
The Ridgecrest team spread wood chips at our park.
It made such a difference.

Emet's new BFF...he had a great time with Jeremiah and I think Jeremiah enjoyed hanging out with Emet. It was fun to watch them together. They are alike in so many ways...full of life and energy. Jeremiah was so sweet to let Emet tag along with him all week!
