Snapshots of Spring and Summer

I have been away for way too long...here are some snapshots of our fabulous spring and summer!  (I have not included our vacation pics, but will work on a post about that later.)  Enjoy this snapshot of our spring and summer with pics in no particular order.  Back to blogging...at least I hope so!!! Oh, we did spend some time at the beach, pond and pool this summer too...but I didn't have my camera.

Enjoying homemade ice cream on the 4th of July
We loved having Jeremy, Liz, Carson and Bryn here for a week.  This was at the Public Garden and the Make Way for Ducklings statues.  It was great for our kids to get to spend so much time together.  I am very thankful for time with our family!
Mom came up to help redo Ava's room and to help with the birthday party.  She was a great face painter and did a good job feeding Owen his cake.  Thankful she was able to celebrate the kids' birthdays with us!
Sox game...we had a blast.  It was fun to be with family, friends and our Summer Link Leaders.  We had a group of 8 college aged young adults serving with our church this summer.  Caroline and Joel joined us for a game at Fenway.  Thankful for them blessing our families and church this summer!
Day trip to Maine
Family Pic from Soccer Nights
Berry picking with our sweet friends
A storm snapped a tree in our front yard.  It was crazy.  You couldn't get to the door next door. Our neighbors had moved out so the apartment was vacant.  The basement window on that side busted and the tree tore down a gutter.  Hopefully everything will be fixed soon and we will have some new neighbors.

Serve Medford Week...for those of you who don't know, my kids adore Jeremiah and Carly.  It was wonderful having them back for a week.  We are holding out hope that Jeremiah will come to BU for college to wrestle, and that we can have his as a part of our family while he is here for a season.  LOVE these two, very special, young people!
Our friends from RBC were here for Serve Medford week.  They worked like crazy to clean parks in our community and help us pull of our community fun night.  We are so very thankful for this great group of friends!

Room Makeovers

We had to say goodbye to my mom today as she flew back to North Carolina. We really enjoyed her visit. While Mom was with us, she worked hard to transform our guest room/Owen's room to a big girl room for Ava. We love the way the room turned out and appreciate Mom making the transformation happen. We moved Owen into the room with Emet, and two nights in things have gone remarkably well. Emet also got a new "bed." We got him some Batman sheets and a comforter to go on his TOP bunk. Love that my kiddos are so excited about their "new" rooms. Thanks mom!

Favorites!!!

I have been so very behind in blogging...so here are a few (okay, a lot) of my favorite pictures from the past couple of months. Enjoy!  (The pictures are actually in reverse order...starting with the most recent and going all the way back to February.)
Go Astros!!!  Look at my two baseball buddies!
Love my kids!!!
We went to Fenway for their 100 year celebration!

Sweet kisses from my kiddos! We went to Western MA for a vacation with Jon's parents when they were here to visit.  It was so nice to get away as a family and have time to relax and enjoy being together!

Scarlet MADE this dress for Ava.  She brought the material and went to town on my sewing machine.  I LOVE it!!!
Cannoli in Boston
He loved having Nana and Papa here!!!
Lots of basketball was played!
Don and Jon went to the Celtics game for Jon's birthday.  We surprised Jon with tickets the afternoon his parents came into town.  They had a great time at the game and got to see a great game.  The Celtics won in overtime.

The Elliotts were here for Spring Break and a mission trip with their church.  They stayed with us one night and the kiddos camped out on the floor for a movie night!
Easter Sunday

Sweet Cousins! We were at an Easter egg hunt...notice the clothing...only in Boston will you see kids in Winter coats and beanies for an Easter egg hunt.  It was so cold that day!  (However, it was 85 degrees just two weeks before this was taken, and we were on the beach in our bathing suits.  Go figure!)

I love these boys!  I took pics for my sweet friend Mary.  I adore her boys and had fun taking their pictures!
I LOVE these girls and loved having them here for their Spring Break.  Brittney and Chelsie mean so much to me and it was truly a blessing to have them here for a week.  I'm so proud of these girls and the beautiful (inside and out) young women they've become!
Brittney and Chelsie visited Ava at school.  They got a tour of the school and also got to experience Kindergarten snack time and recess...oh, the fun!!!
Love this little guy!
I cut Emet's hair for the first time.  Thanks to my friend Gina for the coaching and the equipment to do it.  I think I will be cutting my boys' hair from now on...or at least trying until I mess it up!
My sweet boy!  Love him!
The week we had the 80 degree weather, Owen learned to walk.  He was inspired by the sunshine!

My girls came up to spend a weekend with me back in February.  It was an amazing weekend with them.  It is rare for us to have much time together, so to have them both here for a long weekend was SO special.  I love these ladies with all my hear and am so thankful for them both.  Leigh Ann and Kellie, thanks for a great weekend!!!
